Mr. Clement Perry asked me to put together my thoughts regarding my experience of hearing his latest upgrade which was four new QSA fuses, which I believe he called the Ultra model.

Just a little context to help explain why today’s listening session was so significant… I have known Mr. Perry for nine or 10 years now and have been privy to many listening sessions during that timeframe. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to be witness to a lot of the different upgrades that he has made to his system. It’s been very exciting to get such firsthand experience on how these various edge of the art products have impacted the sound quality. Every step of the way I’ve given him my opinion of how significant (or not) each change has been. Well, yesterday‘s listening session was the biggest step forward of any change I’ve ever heard him make.

The first and foremost attribute that became apparent was the incredible increase in detail and clarity and focus. Individual instruments were just so much more incredibly present sounding . But, not only the instruments themselves but the space around each Instrument was so much more apparent. And the little reverb trails from the pull on a string or the fingers touching on a piano key revealed information that seemingly, by contrast,was slightly muted and obscured in previous sessions. The dynamics launched from every transient was just so incredibly exciting but natural and real sounding… like never before. As I told him by text soon after I left, this was the greatest Audio experience I’ve ever witnessed.
